Description
Harimau (Tiger) is found mainly in the western regions of Sumatra, and is known for its forward movements, and is probably the most aggressive of the Satria stances, containing both ground and vertical combat applications.
A Harimau practitioner’s main emphasis is on attacking unexpectedly by jumping, jumping, shooting or grappling from long to medium range. Once the gap is closed, the objective is to get the opponent to the ground as quickly as possible while jabbing, scratching, biting or locking. Harimau plays an important role in the student’s physical and mental training, developing strength, speed and power, as well as courage, concentration and willpower.
This video will show the stances and basic principles of the Harimau, focusing on the first main stance, the basic blocks, the strikes, the jumps, while providing an overview of the powerful and aggressive components of the Harimau.
