Description
“I have three words for Scott Sonnon: OUTSTANDING – OUTSTANDING – OUTSTANDING!
I have the honor of previewing Scott’s new tactical gymnastics program, and I have to say that Scott did it again; another outstanding program from a stream coach. It didn’t take me 10 minutes to bring new and exciting parts of the curriculum to my school, but I’ll probably be perfecting these skills for 10 years. Scott’s approach is thorough and smart.
The instructions and production are simple in execution, professional and well-built. As a lifelong martial artist, I can appreciate the benefits that Tactical gymnastics brings. I use this program to combat the symptoms of exercise and … she works. In the short time I’ve been using this, I’ve already felt my joints opening up and my mobility increasing.
Bottom line – I give this program my highest recommendation. This is what gives me and my students an advantage, and this is what all tactical operators need to give them an advantage.”

“Hello, my friend,
I would like to speak candidly, without any hyperlattice.
Just you and me – for a moment – before you go in and check out what I’ve created for you.
If you are new and don’t know who I am, let me introduce myself as one of the world’s leading researchers (and Guinea pigs) on the nature of flow.
By “flow” I do not mean the kind of ethereal, nebulous energy that people discuss in healing disciplines. I do not respect them or you if you are from them; I simply state that I am not going to tell you about any invisible forces. By flow, I mean the concrete, quantifiable science of the painless and easy quality of movement.
My job is to serve those who serve us and protect those who protect us. It is a great honor for me to do this work. And in the process of doing this work, I have had the privilege of learning from great masters around the world.
I have spent the last 30 years learning different ways of moving, the last 20 years studying them comprehensively, and the last 10 years perfecting my coaching skills to share a library of movement that I have learned from all over the world.
I had to check it out for yourself. I put it to the most difficult tests, allowing myself to engage in one sport after another – at the level of an international championship – to eliminate all the problems and eliminate all the gaps. And the data I received from
my personal statement, as well as the constant feedback I receive from the agencies I consult, forced me to develop my training to the level of the publication “Tactical gymnastics”.
TACGYM can contain elements of the Russian system, Chinese Bagua, Indonesian Silat, French parkour, Persian zurkhaneh, Brazilian natural gymnastics, and Indian vyayam. However, after all these years of synthesis, I can’t remember where I first recognized any one movement that had a primary impact, or even how to distinguish movements more. And in many cases I had to graft components
together, to form new movements to meet the combat needs of my students.
It’s easier for me to call it “our gymnastics,” but since the name seems too ambiguous, I adopted tactical gymnastics in honor of my coaches ‘ combat legacy. For me, there is only gradual development, biomechanical efficiency, and a special readiness: the child’s steps, flow, and goal. These three concentrations have United all the broad shoulders on which I stand.”
TACGYM, I can say without reservation, is the pinnacle of my career in consolidating the principles and concepts of flow science into concrete, easy-to-understand, easy-to-progress building blocks of movement. I can’t promise you that you will become a night eater of snakes or Musashi in a month. I can’t guarantee that you will be able to levitate, throw fireballs, or teleport.
No rush. There is no buzz. No BS:
• You will increase your ability to Express power, while reducing how much effort it takes to do so.
• You will recover much faster after sudden changes in traffic, accidents, collisions, destabilization, and forced transfers.
• You will be calm in everything you do, all your exercises, rest, and even work-related activities will be performed with greater flexibility and grace.
• You will feel much more energy throughout your body and throughout the day, which will have a significant impact on your mood, attitude, and Outlook.
• You will reduce and eliminate acute and chronic pain that may be mysterious to you, leading to an improved quality of life.
• You will prevent injuries and reduce the number of serious injuries that can occur, as connective tissue strength, joints, and response time are improved.
• You will be able to overcome obstacles and challenges with ease and imagination as your body learns to adapt to new physical skills at an accelerated rate.
• You will become very sensitive to movement, position, and strength / tension as your body awareness improves.
• Of course, it will improve your strength, cardio, flexibility, dexterity, stamina, endurance, and so on … Without a doubt. But many things will do it. Very few disciplines also offer the above.
If you are one of the few people who sees a martial artist, gymnast, boxer or wrestler and thinks: “I would love to be able to move with such silent force”, then TACGYM is probably for you. Of course, there will be an unspecified premise: “if I were painless, if I didn’t have injuries interfering with me, if I had the mobility and range of movement to do it …»
This premise is different from TACGYM. Many roads will lead you to graceful power. Only a few paths will get you there without injury. This is not a method of diving or swimming like many units I have trained using. My approach is aimed at 85% of you who, like me, can’t succeed despite the wrong training. Because of my childhood shortcomings, I still need to use all the training technologies useful for getting my teams ahead of the bad guys who are willing to throw 20-gun meat into the meat grinder.
My men and women are priceless, the most precious virtues of our society, so I can’t fail as a coach. I must not. This is why I continue to Refine, Refine, research, and test everything on myself before sharing only what repeats, consistently, sustainably works for everyone, not just the meager 15% who could succeed despite poor training ,
If you want to burn fat or gain weight, of course you will build muscle and lose fat by doing tactical gymnastics, but these are not their main goals; just like a military physique is just a byproduct, not the intent of fighting efficiency. The appearance is not a destination; only part of the journey.
However, there are unspeakable qualities, elusive virtues that tactical gymnastics focuses on – like its father, martial arts. Power and the ability to Express it are not mutually compatible. You may get a massive, powerful frame. You can look like you can withstand any crisis. But without a pliable form, you will not be able to Express this power. You will remain in the prison of the muscles. I mentioned the difference between” show “muscles and” go ” muscles.
This distinction works well. Too often I have had to work with very enthusiastic young athletes who, because of their previous training, were completely unable to transfer their strength beyond the short distances dictated by the machine that they were advised to perform. If you want to look like a statue, that’s fine; but make sure you don’t become one.
To be honest, I probably wouldn’t be able to help you if you didn’t somehow, on your own initiative, develop a fire of desire to want to move with power, rather than just seem strong.
Power means nothing without the ability to navigate the unknown and surprise obstacles and resistance with ease and imagination. And even if you or your coaches have ignited your warrior spirit with a desire to restore your legacy as the most powerful being that God has ever graced the world with, you may not have the patience to develop at the appropriate speed.
Tactical gymnastics is like “smooth yoga with a purpose”. They help you improve your driving performance to overcome, overcome, or overcome obstacles.
They have a specific goal. If you are considering a 4-day wave in TACFIT, you can insert your tactical gymnastics into low-or medium-intensity sessions. It is not possible to perform them without intensity, as in the days of your mobility; and it is not recommended to perform them with high intensity due to their complex nature, even if you reduce the complexity to simple movements.
You should leave your tactical gymnastics practice smiling, sweaty, and inflamed: a good, deep sweat that allows you to relax your muscles, lubricate your joints, work out your knots, focus your thoughts, and relax your emotions. Most of the martial arts approaches I studied were “sink or swim”.
For example, since in my time in Russia instructors and personnel of their special forces units were often involved, the training was largely a selection of the herd, where those who could survive many hours of grueling repetition in adverse terrain and extreme conditions, passed the exams.
I used my experience and knowledge of motor development to reach out to the 85% who couldn’t make it through one of these challenging marathons and survive for a month. What you will find here, I have carefully checked over many years of trial and error, research and
discover, compose the most gradual high-yield low-risk protocols in order to become highly elegant.
Unlike other high-intensity training in the TACFIT fleet, TACGYM includes low intensity metrics and, as a result, does not necessarily require specially designed warm-up and recovery programs associated with the programs.
such as Commando, Warrior, Kettlebell Spetsnaz, Rope and Mass Assault. However, running full warm-up programs like Caduceus Healing Staff and Body Rolling, and full recovery programs like Archimedes, speeds up your results in TACGYM.
We can’t make progress shorter, but we can avoid extending it with significantly more serious consequences. I can’t help you shorten your journey. No one else can. But I can help you not extend your journey. I can help you reduce the severity of the consequences by following the program.
I call on the Mature warrior within you to awaken this spirit-a thousand years old-and bring this older voice into your training practice.
I look forward to reading about your incredible journey. I am very honored to have you here, and I look forward to seeing you join our team. Come inside, brothers and sisters. Let’s get started!

“Working in a limited space in a complete set is a headache in itself. The degrees of movement practiced in [Tactical gymnastics] allowed me to move more effectively in non-traditional ways, allowing me to think more about my patient and experience less pain back. In addition, the training sessions are planned in such a way that I will never get sick the next day, and it’s great when you never know what is expected of you.”

“Biomechanical exercises are actually physical movements that, when studied, open up psychological blockages that prevent a person from achieving their natural grace. There is nothing” magical “about these exercises unless you consider the return to your natural state of graceful movement” magical.” It took years of research for coach Sonnon to develop a way to Express how he connected the dots with his contacts with these experts, travel and training in Russia, and his own experience of his Sambo career … really wonderful and a must for those who want to choose a road with fewer trips for optimal health and fitness.
James Smith,

“These biomechanical exercises are complex motor skills that emphasize dexterity, coordination, and balance. They complement and explain the sophistication of our natural movement. It also teaches you how to combine these exercises into “kinetic circuits”. The challenge and sophistication of these series of movements goes beyond the Vinyasa of even the most extreme power yoga classes. This is the only system I know that shows the connection between our neuromuscular system, psychology, and physical movement capabilities. It is also the only concept that feeds your creativity freedom. I plan to be a student and a friend
Mr. Sonnon for life. ”
Robert Verdell,

As a pioneer in applying the latest sports science, and as a link and filter of the best techniques of the past, he has made an immeasurable contribution to our training program here in army combat. School. Combining deep knowledge of biomechanically effective movements, the physiological capabilities and weaknesses of the human body, as well as in wrestling and physical training, it helps to revolutionize the modern fighting world.”

“Most of the information about sports training is nothing more than paraphrased information. I dare to find Scott Sonnon’s unique material in another source! Sonnon is, without a doubt, one of the best athletic trainers in the United States, a thinking person’s coach. He’s a man with a hologram. Try to hit it and it will disappear.
Paul Tsatsulin,
pioneer giri, a former instructor of special forces of the USSR
“Scott Sonnon’s training technologies represent one of the most effective marriages of tactical efficiency and psychophysiological efficiency that I have ever seen. Thanks to its unique design and program execution methods, I see Scott Sonnon serving as one of the most important figures in the tactical training community. ”
Mike Gillette,
President of Threat Metrics, former Director of training at the National Institute of law enforcement and security, former field training officer, tactical team commander, and chief of police
“I’ve been using Scott Sonnon’s tactical gymnastics since the first incarnation (Grapplers Toolbox) in 2002. As a professional in the field of fitness and martial arts, I know that strength, size and speed are important, but not sufficient: it is the quality of movement, subtlety and smoothness, dynamic flexibility that distinguishes a good from a great athlete. This is the difference between binding force or expressing force without interference. Scott (again) did an amazing job of distributing the exercises and found an easy-to-understand presentation learn tactical gymnastics and become the athlete, law enforcement officer, or martial artist you deserve to be! ”

“I met coach Sonnon six years ago when he was offering tactical training competitions between the local police and firefighters. Since then, he has taken control of our fire Department, and the results have been amazing. The tactical moves he taught us are different from anything I’ve ever done before. I’m almost forty years old, and I’m slimmer, better prepared, and more athletic than I’ve ever been in my life. Other firefighters who have adopted TACFIT programs have produced similar results. Multi-plane movements are directly related to the dynamic work of firefighters. I recently followed the training Protocol for Scott’s tactical gymnastics program. Movements that seemed impossible to me already feel smoother. Firefighters often work on the floor in extreme heat. The ground movements presented in this program improved my ability to move low to the floor. Coach Sonnon can break each exercise into simple movements with increasing difficulty. This is very helpful in the learning process and provides a clear direction for development. I strongly recommend Coach Sonnon’s TACFIT programs for any person or Agency interested in improving tactical preparedness and productivity.”

“In recognition of your outstanding support and dedication to the soldiers of the 3rd battalion, 160th special operations aviation regiment (airborne). The TACFIT instruction you provided was very informative and useful for everyone and will increase the combat readiness of this battalion. Your support Pays tribute to you and all other proud supporters of our armed forces and is highly appreciated by all.
“We would like to Express our sincere appreciation for your efforts of our branch. Once again, you have provided advanced training to our instructors and deployment agents. Air Interdiction and Marine Interdiction agents have only the highest rating. Agents have made efforts to train the skills built into TACFIT. Your focused work with our main mid-level instructor has paid dividends. Agents who spend the most time working with TACFIT can quickly learn the skills. The skills presented have already been used to improve our counteroffensive, fighting and striking. All these skills are based on principles and skills. The level of confidence and skill that an agent possesses directly affects survival and the correct use of force. TACFIT is an important part of expanding the agent skill set.

“As you know, we have come a long way back. In 2001, I enlisted your help in preparing me for the 2002 pan American championship in Brazilian JIU-jitsu. I was intrigued by your posts on the website mma.tv and after I got your grapler. I followed the advice about movement and breathing. I have incorporated your breathing technique and the forerunner of your tactical gymnastics into my training exercises leading up to the Panams. These movements have made my work on earth easy and seamless, in a way that I have never learned thanks to the regular bjj curriculum. The movement patterns combined with your unique approach to breathing allowed me to win both the heavyweight and absolute weight categories in the purple belt adult division. This victory was all the more important for me because I am a firefighter / paramedic as well as a SWAT medic. The period of time was short several months after September 11 and its tragic consequences. The country and athletes were still reeling from the effects of TS on September 11, and I felt obligated to succeed / win.
You have kindly answered all my questions, patiently taught me all my questions and concerns, and led me to two gold medals. Your innovative and creative approach to movement, breathing and structure are just the components I needed to win one of the largest bjj tournaments in the world.
I could not have achieved any of my achievements without your guidance and input. You have never charged me a penny, and yet he has never told me that I owe you nothing but my personal best. That alone earned my respect and loyalty.
To this day I use your methodology in my own training I teach bjj to my students. In addition, I also teach Defensive Tactics to my SWAT team. I am also a leading trainer of Defensive tactics in the PSD and Executive Protection International programs. In each case, I use your version of tactical training and tactical gymnastics to train my students. I find your approach to work without exception, both in competition and in the tactical environment in which I and my colleagues in special forces work. Nothing I’ve encountered prepares us as operators better than Tactical gymnastics. Thank you, my friend.”

“I have personally used Scott Sonnon’s tactical gymnastics options over the past six years with incredible results. First of all, I feel great, and I can move with strength and grace in all ranges of movement. This program has improved my ability to serve as a fire captain in the Bellingham fire Department, helped me in my own athletic endeavors, and given me tools to improve the skills of the firefighters and athletes I work with.
Tactical gymnastics taught me the skills to safely interact with the ground, absorb and redirect energy from the impact, not only move to a position, but also move through it and into the next with more pronounced force and control. The result of my training is healthier joints, an increased range of movement due to the elimination of residual muscle tension, and a body that moves freely and works as a whole without leaking power.
Many of the firefighters in my Department use tactical gymnastics to be properly prepared for action when an alarm sounds. During training, we remove stiff joints, muscle tension that restricts freedom of movement, and build up the strength necessary to achieve the best results in preventing injuries. A simple task is to crawl through a high-temperature smoke environment, weigh down with equipment, and handle a charged hose can cause damage to the unprepared. Tactical Gymnastics prepares us for combat with the ground, gives us the range of motion to move freely while being weighted with equipment, and provides the strength to handle the hose line and advance toward the fire.
I was lucky enough to work closely with coach Sonnon, and he helped me realize the importance of mastering the basics before moving forward. Its programs are designed to heal the athlete by first mastering the basic movements. He pushed me hard, but remained honest, not allowing me to go beyond what my form allowed. As soon as I was free of pain and taught my body to move in a new range, it set me on an accelerated path as I began to adapt quickly and move through progressive steps to mastery. Scott’s health concerns in the first place, combined with his knowledge of movement and training design, have taken me to a level I could never have imagined.

Tactical gymnastics played a significant role in my training and improved my skills as a firefighter, athlete, and coach. I will quickly share this program with everyone I work with and recommend it to everyone, regardless of their profession or sports experience.”
