Grandmaster Rodel Dagooc Commencing his Modern Arnis training in 1969 under Professor Remy Presas, the founder of Modern Arnis, he acquired the moniker “smoking stick” due to his dynamic movements. In 1999, he was directly bestowed the 8th Dan, Lakan Walo Modern Arnis by Grandmaster GM Remy Presas. In July 2010, a Filipino board and international FMA Grandmasters conferred upon him the 9th Dan, Lakan Siyam Modern Arnis. He imparts teachings on Modern Arnis and its system through his organization, “Arnis Association International Inc.,” in Batangas and Manila, conducting seminars worldwide. He is a member organization of the “World Family of Modern Arnis,” WFMA.
