I’ve read about 1 million blog posts about Pinterest and how to use it to increase your blog traffic. There are sooo many blogs out there, and they all seem to say different things about how to be successful with Pinterest. Often they just felt that sales were falling.
How I Learned about Pinteresting Strategies from Carly Campbell
One of the strategies I read about on one of the courses I bought (not Pinteresting Strategies) was to join and have as many group boards as possible to help get your content in front of more people… (definitely not the best strategy).
But I was new to the Pinterest game, and this was my assignment. Because everything you read in the course must be true and relevant… right?
It was in this quest to find a million group boards to join that I sent a request to the owner of the group board. They kindly replied and told me “no”.
I was upset at first, but then she gave me some tips on how to focus my efforts on my own boards, and suggested I take a look at Carly Campbell’s Pinteresting strategies.
Did I just get a link that didn’t have any terms or affiliate link behind the text?
The fact that someone just suggested something because it was good interested me.
Then I was turned off to do some additional research. In every review I read, there were so many great things about her e-book that I decided to read it.
There are so many courses on using Pinterest to grow your business. I personally bought a pair. But the real question is … what course should I take? Or maybe it’s even worth it to get a course? Given that there are so many courses, these are probably good questions.
I hope this Honest Review helps you make a decision about whether Carly Campbell’s Pinteresting strategies are right for you.
Carly is a mom like most of you. She started a blog back in 2016, which now makes 6 figures and collects more than 200 thousand page views per month. That’s what we’re all probably aiming for. We want to take control of our lives and our finances. Or as Carly says,
“I wanted to be a mom on purpose, not a mom of circumstances, or a mom who just copes. Or even a mom who’s doing fine. I want to be single-minded about motherhood.”
During her blogging journey, she was very analytical about Pinterest and her blog… and so far, you can see it in her course. Carly was able to put together a terrific step-by-step course on how she did it.
While I find most of the content very appropriate for me in part because I’m in the motherhood niche, I also think it’s very appropriate for any blog niche. If you’re new to blogging, Carly also has a free course on blogging! It’s totally worth it to see if blogging can be something for you.
Overview of Pinteresting Strategies
Carly Campbell’s Pinteresting strategies cover quite a lot of content. And honestly, it’s useful content, not just fluff that you read all over the place. It was actually an e-book, but then she converted it to a course format to keep it up to date. And that’s so cool, because Pinterest is always changing. See below what it covers:
Traffic and its importance to your blog
Customize Your Pinterest Profile for Success
Understanding People and How Pinterest is All About People
Carly’s pinning strategy (mostly manual pinning) is what I found most useful!
Carly is right when she talks about what really matters to Pinterest. Often we fall into the trap of impressions and savings. And that matters to a certain extent. But what’s really important is getting traffic to your blog.
You can get all the saves and impressions in the world, but if no one goes to your blog, then it really doesn’t matter. No clicks on your site means no money from advertising, no affiliate sales, no email registration, and ultimately no success. Unless that’s what you’re aiming for.…
A big part of her strategy is manual pinning. That’s how it gets so many page views. It may be a little overwhelming to start with, but it will soon get easier and easier.
