Description
Scott Templeton acquired his knowledge of Brazilian jujutsu directly from Royce Gracie at Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. Additionally, he holds a coaching certificate and studied judo under the guidance of Mike Swain (American Games 83 & 87). Partnering regularly with five-time UFC champion Matt Hughes, he has also achieved a 4 dan in Shorin-ryu karate.
For kids, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu serves as a secure program aimed at teaching them the fundamentals of Brazilian Jujutsu. This program can function both as a supplementary component to any children’s martial arts program and as an independent program.
In Volume 1, the focus is on Grappling Positions, outlining the fundamental principles of Brazilian dz-dz and instructing on how to maintain balance in the “walking” position.
Volume 2, titled Position Escapes, covers the primary methods for escaping from disadvantageous positions and emphasizes the foundational aspects of protection in the prone position, with a particular emphasis on the correct utilization of levers.
Volume 3, Reversals, delves into the techniques for transforming a losing position into a winning one. It also provides insights on avoiding being caught in submissions by larger opponents.
